Usually when you think of cream cheese (the cheese used for cheesecake), it’s in the form of a schmere for bagels, bialys, and other breads. Cream cheese is smooth and creamy by nature, so it’s no wonder it matches well with a dessert–but does it work well as a filler for a cake?
