Caracas Arepa Bar — A Peek into Venezuelan Cuisine

New York City is certainly known for its great food, but from time to time, even New York can produce its fair share of mediocre eats. Over the course of the year, there are many generic food fairs that occur in Mid-Town West and the Upper West Side that put perfectly good cuisines and foods to shame. You’ll find burnt, out-of-season corn on the cob, bland crepes, and mealy fruit cups. Another good example of this eater’s horror is Venezuala’s prized arepa. The arepa tends to get a bad rep since it’s often present in those mediocre food fairs I’m talking about. However, once you’ve eaten an arepa from Caracas Arepa Bar, I guarantee you will not only respect the arepa, but even start to picket those shameless street fairs.
