One of the finest aspects of New York dining is the unparalleled cuisine diversity. In the course of a day, an eater can easily traverse thousands of miles of worldly food in just the span of a city block. Pretty impressive, right? Even in Chinatown alone, dozens of specific and extremely different Asian cuisines can be sipped, slurped, and consumed–and with few exceptions, for under $13. That’s the case for Nyonya, a Malaysian restaurant on Grand Street in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Nyonya presents the best of both worlds for a Chinatown eatery–a clean interior with not many Americans eating in it.
